Tori Spelling is opening up about a two-month period that left her unable to work due to how sick she felt.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum discussed the illness on the Friday, February 6 episode of her misSPELLING podcast.

“It has been hell. Hell is individual to all of us, but this has been hell. I know I have had a past of getting sick a lot, infrequently, but this one took me down,” Spelling, 52, said, according to Us Weekly. “Eight weeks I couldn’t work. It all started with my sinuses.”

Her health deteriorated to the point that she felt “hopeless” about ever recovering. “It gets to the point where it’s been depressing being in bed. I don’t want to be back up in that bed again,” she added.

Spelling believes she picked up multiple illnesses from her childrenLiam, 18, Stella, 17, Hattie, 14, Finn, 13, and Beau, 8 — jokingly calling them “five petri dishes.”

“I now know the name of every virus and bacterial thing out there. There was enterovirus, there was rhinovirus, there was Covid. It’s everything, RSV,” she explained.

Spelling added that when her kids got sick, she often tested positive for the same illness.

She described experiencing “the worst flu-like symptoms you can imagine.”

It took me out. I was flat on my back. Then, it got so ingrained in there it went into my Eustachian Tube. I sound really smart saying that, but that’s your inner ear,” she said. “It was both sinuses. It was an inner ear infection, Eustachian tube. Then, the vertigo kicked in. I’m still having vertigo.”

Spelling said she was prescribed “so many rounds of antibiotics,” but nothing worked except for a nasal rinse. “I would go to the doctor, they would do cameras,” she recalled. “I could see what was going on. I’m like, ‘Oh my God, that’s crazy what’s up there.’”

As of Friday’s podcast, the podcaster said she’s still “not 100 percent better.”

“It was so bad. I couldn’t even come downstairs. [The kids] would have to help me walk to the bathroom to pee. It was outrageous.”

During her illness, Spelling had to pause her podcast, welcoming guests like pal Brian Austin Green to fill in. She also canceled events, including a January appearance in Las Vegas.
