‘Teen Mom’ Alum Slams Critics Who Accuse Her of Putting Men Before Her Kids: ‘Cannot Deny Chemistry’

Teen Mom 2 alum Kailyn Lowry is sticking up for herself after her latest boyfriend, Isaac “Ike” Knighton, reportedly moved into her home before they’ve even marked one year of dating.

The 33-year-old, who is now a mom of seven, had a message for critics who have an “assumption” that she doesn’t “think about my kids,” according to multiple reports.

“Contrary to that,” Lowry apparently said to subscribers earlier this week on her Patreon, “I would say I did think about what kind of person he is before I brought him into the rest of my kids’ lives.”

Lowry reportedly told followers that she’s known Ike since “pretty much high school,” noting: “I didn’t just meet [him]. It’s not like I met him on Tinder. I’m not saying there are unsafe people on Tinder, but I didn’t just meet him for the first time and introduce him to my kids.”

She also claimed her friends performed a background check on him before she and Ike decided to take the next step in their relationship.

Lowry, who shares her seven children with multiple men, broke up with fiancé Elijah Scott in the summer of 2025, so many fans pointed out that she’s moved on rather quickly.

“I don’t think I expected to have a full-blown relationship,” Lowry said of Ike, “but after the first time we hung out, both of us just knew what it was.”

“You cannot deny chemistry and attraction when it’s there,” she said. “If I’m not happy as a woman first, I cannot be a good mom. And I’m not saying I’m relying on men for happiness because — if we are being honest, and you look at my track record — they have all made me miserable.”

In promotion of her multi-part Patreon series, Lowry shared photos of her and Ike to Instagram, garnering negative comments from followers.

“We are tired kail. I don’t even understand how you have time to find a new man so quickly,” one person wrote, while another said: “Imagine growing up with FIVE STEPDADS.”

“Girl at this point just stop posting your relationships they never last,” someone commented.

Another posted, “Revolving door them kids see way too much.”
