Teddi Mellencamp is opening up about the emotional toll of her cancer battle — and why she’s finally seeking therapy nearly a year after her diagnosis.
The former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 44, revealed on the January 27 episode of iHeartRadio’s Two T’s in a Pod podcast that she’s begun therapy to process everything she’s endured.
“I didn’t properly process what happened,” Mellencamp admitted. “From my divorce to being in emergency surgery to not seeing my kids while I was recovering — it’s all starting to hit me now.”

Mellencamp split from husband Edwin Arroyave in November 2024 after 13 years of marriage. Just months later, doctors discovered multiple tumors near her brain, leading to a stage IV melanoma diagnosis. In October 2025, she announced scans showed no detectable cancer, though she remains on immunotherapy.
She’s processing “now that the storm has calmed,” she explained. “And now I have fear.”
When cohost Tamra Judge asked what scares her most, Mellencamp didn’t hesitate: “That the cancer is going to come back.”

Despite ongoing physical limitations and lingering anxiety, Mellencamp credits therapy — along with support from her children, Slate, 13, Cruz, 11, and Dove, 5, her estranged husband, and dad John Mellencamp— for helping her navigate what comes next.
“I don’t feel great yet,” she said. “But I’m trying.”
