Apparently, canceling Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of The Bachelorette has only made people want to see it more.
“Everyone is trying to get a bootleg,” a source told Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack on Thursday, March 26. “That’s the only version anyone wants.”
The source told the outlet that copies of Paul’s canned season are being passed around Disney offices, calling it “the most wanted video in the building.”
“Not since Kim Kardashian’s sex tape has a video been this wanted,” the source continued. “That’s the level we’re talking about.”
While it appears that Paul’s chance as the Bachelorette is over, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star allegedly thinks she still has a chance.
“She doesn’t think it’s over. In her mind, this can still come back,” the source said, adding that’s not a possibility. “It’s never airing. Period. That decision is locked.”
Paul, 31, was chosen to be the lead of The Bachelorette Season 22, but it all fell apart just days before it was set to premiere. On March 17, news broke that season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives had halted filming after the Draper City Police confirmed Paul and her ex-boyfriend, DakotaMortensen, were involved in a recent “domestic assault” investigation, per People.

Two days later, TMZ shared footage of a brutal altercation between Paul and Mortensen, 33, that occurred in 2023. In the clip, Paul could be seen launching multiple metal bar stools at Mortensen from across the room. One of those stools accidentally came in contact with Paul’s daughter, Indy. (She shares Indy and son, Ocean, with her ex-husband, Tate.)
Shortly after the video was released, ABC decided to pull the plug on Paul’s season of The Bachelorette just three days before its premiere.
“It’s sad to see the latest installment of his never-ending, desperate, attention-seeking, destructive campaign to harm Taylor without any regard for the consequences for their child. Releasing an old and selectively edited video on their son’s birthday is a reprehensible attempt to distract from his own behavior,” a rep for Paul told TMZ at the time.
“Thankfully, the public has seen this act before and knows who he is and sadly, many will recognize this pattern of manipulation, both in his actions on the show and from their own experiences.”
