Real Housewives’ Taylor Armstrong Details Abuse by Late Husband: “He Threatened to Kill Me Before”

Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans will recall the harrowing season 2 scene when Camille Grammer revealed on screen that castmate Taylor Armstrong was being abused by then-husband Russell Armstrong.

In a shocking new interview, Taylor opened up about that terrifying moment, as well as the horrific violence she suffered at the hands of her husband, who died by suicide a month after she filed for divorce in 2011.

“I remember looking at the producer in just a blank stare,” the 53-year-old told Discovery’s Hollywood Demons. “I was saying, ‘You have no idea what you have done to me. He threatened to kill me before.’”

Indeed, Taylor recounted how he once grabbed her by the throat when he didn’t approve of what she’d served his sons from a previous relationship for dinner.

“He said, ‘If you ever serve my kids a pizza without a vegetable again, I’ll kill you.’” He nearly did that after he caught friends offering to help Taylor, pushing her into the backyard pool and holding her under.

Despite all that, the mom of one, now wed to John Bluher, continued to doubt herself.

It “just felt cringey” to think she was a victim of domestic abuse, she said. “Because I would think to myself that I really do have it all.”
