“Meghan knows the King loves gardening, organic produce, and homemade foods,” a source told Naughty But Nice, which reported that the mother of two is planning to bring a selection of products from her As Ever lifestyle brand, including her popular jams.
“She believes the jams are thoughtful because they’re something she created herself,” the source said. “She wants the gift to feel personal, not extravagant.”
While the Spare author has returned to the U.K. several times since he and his wife stepped back from their senior royal duties in 2020, Meghan and the kids have not been there since 2022 — and the Sussexes have appeared to be distant from the rest of the royals.

“The Palace has seen plenty of reconciliation gestures over the years,” an insider told Shuter. “This may be the first one that comes with a product label. Some people will find it charming. Others will wonder if the gift doubles as free advertising.”
While Meghan may just be trying to preserve her relationship with the royal family with her signature preserves, others appear to be questioning her motives.
“Is it a heartfelt peace offering or brilliant brand marketing?” a royal insider questioned. “With her, those two things often happen at the same time.”
According to a second source, “She’s not expecting the King to post about the jam on Instagram. She simply wants to arrive with something warm and homemade instead of an expensive royal-style gift.”
