Amanda Batula broke her silence a little over a week after she and Kyle Cooke announced their separation, and the Summer House star seemed to be in good spirits.
“Yeah, we’re good, and that’s it,” Batula, 34, said when she and Cooke, 43, made an appearance on SiriusXM’s Front Row series on Tuesday, January 27, per Us Weekly.
“It’s … easier to get along. But we’re good. We talk all the time,” she continued. “We’re both traveling. So I’m watching the dogs. He’s watching the dogs. We’re coparenting the dogs together. Still call him if I have questions.”
Cooke chimed in, telling host Kiki Monique, “Every step we’ve taken, there’s a little bit of, like, a weight has been lifted.”
“And ironically, I feel like this last week, having kind of pressed post together, it felt like we were a little more lighthearted,” the Loverboy founder added. “I mean, look, more than anything, I want her to be happy. I want us both to be happy.”

Batula and Cooke officially announced their separation after four years of marriage in a joint statement shared via Instagram on January 19.
“After much reflection, we have mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple,” the statement read. “We share this with a heavy heart and kindly ask for your grace and support while we focus on our personal growth and healing.”
“It feels ironic to ask for privacy during this time since we’ve always tried to be open and honest about our relationship,” the statement continued, “but your kindness and respect will go a long way as we try to navigate our next chapter.”
Fans first met Batula when she and Cooke were casually dating during the first season of Summer House in 2017. Since then, fans have watched their story unfold, following their engagement, wedding — and now, their separation.
