Summer House cast member West Wilson is weighing in on Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula’s breakup after more than four years of marriage.
“Their relationship has been so public,” Wilson — who has been a main cast member on the Bravo reality show since Season 8 — noted on the Friday, January 23, episode of the Show Me Something podcast.
The Traitors alum, 43, and the Amanda Batula Swim founder, 34, announced their split in a joint Instagram statement on January 19 after months of rumors that their relationship was on the rocks and that they were living separately.

“Obviously, they should both be awarded privacy if that’s what they want,” continued Wilson, noting that the public shouldn’t feel they’re owed every detail of their personal lives just because they’re on television.
“You almost feel like people feel entitled to your personal business because they’ve watched you be public about everything,” he said. “I guess my big thing would be to tell other people who are on the internet to be respectful.”
“Even if this is what’s best for them, and it’s all going to be for the better, it still is objectively a hard thing to do. It is probably so f**king exhausting,” he added. “I’m not either of them, so I can’t speak for them, but I am proud of them up until this point.”
Cooke met Batula during the summer of 2015, but she only appeared as a guest during the first season of Summer House in 2017. She joined the reality show as a main cast member during the second season and has remained with the series since.

Fans of the couple have seen the two navigate the very public ups and downs of their relationship, which included Cooke’s cheating scandal.
During Season 3 of Summer House, he admitted, “A year ago, I was on a guys’ trip, I blacked out, and I woke up with a girl in my bed. I’ve never felt worse in my entire life.” Despite Cooke’s admission, Batula forgave him, and the pair were officially married in September 2021.
Earlier this month, they said that they have “mutually and amicably decided to part ways” and requested privacy and “grace.”
Given that their relationship will be put on display during Season 10 of Summer House, which premieres February 3, they noted that it “feels ironic to ask for privacy.”
In the Season 10 sneak peek, Batula can be seen sharing her disappointment in Cooke after she claimed that he slept at a fan’s apartment and returned home at around 6:30 a.m. the following day.
