Stanley Tucci Credits Wife Felicity Blunt for Making ‘Things Better’ for His Family After Wife’s Death
Stanley Tucci opens up about his 14-year marriage to Felicity Blunt, from their 2006 meeting to surviving cancer together and building a blended family.
Stanley Tucci and Felicity Blunt have been happily married for 14 years, but their love story hasn’t always been easy.
In a candid new interview, the Devil Wears Prada 2 star, 65, revealed that he first met Felicity, 45, through her sister Emily Blunt — Stanley’s Prada costar — at the original film’s 2006 premiere. At the time, his wife Kate (with whom he welcomed twins Isabel and Nicolo, 26, and daughter Camilla, 21) was losing her battle with breast cancer, which had been recently diagnosed. “She was sick while we were making the film and throughout the whole process,” he told Town & Country magazine.

A year after Kate’s 2009 death, the actor reconnected with Felicity at Emily’s wedding to John Krasinski. Sparks flew, and they were married the following year, welcoming kids Matteo, 11, and Emilia, 8.
But there was more devastation to come. Just as Stanley had held Kate’s hand through her illness, Felicity cared for him following a shocking throat cancer diagnosis in 2017. “I couldn’t do anything for myself,” he added, recalling that Felicity was pregnant with Emilia at the time. “That was awful for her.”
Now cancer-free, he credits his wife for making his life whole again. Speaking on Desert Island Discs, he said in 2023, “Felicity has been so incredible, taking on a widower and three children whose mother died. That’s a huge thing at a very young age. If anybody made things better for all of us, it’s her. She’s the one.”
