Meryl Streep’s Miranda Priestly Is as Intimidating as Ever in ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’
Devil Wears Prada 2 reunites Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep and Emily Blunt in a stylish sequel packed with luxury fashion, Met Gala drama and digital media chaos.
It’s been 20 years since we last saw Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep) sweep through the halls of Runway magazine, and it’s clear she hasn’t lost an ounce of her chilly imperiousness.
But the publishing business has experienced a precipitous decline, and she’s obliged to hire her old assistant/nemesis Andy (Anne Hathaway) as the mag’s new features editor to crisis-manage a scandal involving a Met Gala–like event and help navigate the new digital landscape.

Adding insult to injury, Miranda is also desperate for ad revenue to save Runway, so is forced to make nice with another former employee, Emily (Emily Blunt), who’s now the head of a luxury conglomerate.
At least the glam is still on point — there’s a cameo by Lady Gaga (who, along with Doechii, contributed a song to the soundtrack) and scenes shot on location in NYC and at Milan Fashion Week. And of course, there are luxury labels galore: Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Lanvin, Gabriela Hearst, Ralph Lauren and lots of Coach bags (do we smell a product placement deal?) and, of course, Prada.
Devil 2 is practically guaranteed to be the chick flick of the year, so bring your fashion A-game and your chicest pals and sashay over to the nearest cinema.
