The postwar tribunal attempted to hold the Third Reich leaders accountable for their war crimes and other atrocities. But the cunning Göring isn’t an easy subject, and he and Kelley face off in a riveting game of manipulation and one-upmanship. Crowe delivers a powerhouse performance as the genocidal despot, and the film’s message about fascism and why it’s essential to hold people responsible so history doesn’t repeat itself is especially timely.
