Prince Andrew announced that he would no longer use his royal titles in a shocking statement released on Friday, October 17 — but it wasn’t his decision, the Sunday Times has revealed.
Andrew, who continues to make negative headlines because of his friendship with late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, was pressured by King Charles III and Prince William, the outlet reported on Saturday, October 18.
And while Charles has continued to allow his disgraced brother, and his ex-wife, Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson to enjoy “family occasions” including Christmas at Sandringham and royal funerals, but that will all change when William takes the crown, sources told the Times.
The future king, 43, thinks his uncle’s presence at such events is insensitive to victims of sexual abuse, because of Epstein’s late victim Virginia Giuffre’s claims that Andrew, 65, had sex with her three times when she was a minor, which he’s vehemently denied.
“When William is King, Andrew will be banned from all elements of royal life,” the outlet reported, adding that Fergie, 66, who was also friendly with Epstein, won’t be welcome either.

However, Andrew and Fergie’s two daughters, princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, will still be part of official events, the Times said.
As Star previously reported, William vowed that “change is on my agenda,” on the Friday, October 3 episode of Eugene Levy’s AppleTV+ show, The Reluctant Traveler. “Change for good. I don’t fear it.”
