Prince Harry Shares Tea With King Charles at London Home After 19-Month Estrangement

Prince Harry and King Charles  have reunited.

On Wednesday, September 10, the BBC reported that the Duke of Sussex, 40 — who is back home in the UK for charity events — was seen entering his dad’s London residence, Clarence House.

Per the outlet, the king met with his son for around 50 minutes, during which they enjoyed a private tea.

Charles, 76, had previously been in Scotland but left and came to Clarence House earlier in the day, reported the BBC.

While the father-and-son duo haven’t met since February 2024, Star recently reported that they were set to reunite while Harry is in the UK this month.

“For the first time in a long time, there’s a genuine sense that reconciliation is within reach,” a source told The Mirror on August 28. “Prince Harry’s team and the Palace have opened a line of communication, and there is every hope that father and son will see one another when the Duke returns to London in September.”

“After months apart, and with the King continuing his [cancer] treatment, the feeling is that the time is right to take that step,” the source revealed. “This is not about grand gestures or set-piece meetings — it’s about a simple face-to-face conversation between a father and his son. The priority is privacy and dignity, but also ensuring the door stays open for further dialogue.”

In May, Harry also told the BBC, “I would love a reconciliation with my family.”
