Prince Harry and King Charles are reportedly on the path towards a reunion.
On Thursday, August 28, The Mirror reported that the Duke of Sussex, 40, is poised to meet with the 76-year-old King of the United Kingdom when he visits his home country next month to attend the WellChild Awards.
“For the first time in a long time, there’s a genuine sense that reconciliation is within reach,” a source told the outlet. “Prince Harry’s team and the Palace have opened a line of communication, and there is every hope that father and son will see one another when the Duke returns to London in September.”
As Star previously reported, two of Harry and wife Meghan Markle’s senior aides met with one of Charles’ top aides at a private member’s club in London in July.

“After 20 months apart, and with the King continuing his [cancer] treatment, the feeling is that the time is right to take that step,” the source explained. “This is not about grand gestures or set-piece meetings — it’s about a simple face-to-face conversation between a father and his son. The priority is privacy and dignity, but also ensuring the door stays open for further dialogue.”
“It’s clear there is now a determination on both sides to make this happen,” added the source. “Nobody is pretending the wider family issues have been resolved, but this is about beginning with Charles and Harry.”
However, the source claimed that things don’t look as hopeful when it comes to the relationship between the Spare author and his older brother, Prince William, 43.
“Any chance of reconciliation between them has been rejected out of hand,” the source told the publication.
Harry has recently expressed his desire for reconciliation with his family, telling the BBC in May, “There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore. Life is precious.”
