Prince Harry ‘Consumed by Worry’ Amid U.K. Legal Battle: ‘Weight of the World’s On His Shoulders’ (Exclusive)

Prince Harry has had a tough week.

Just days after testifying against Associated Newspapers Limited in London’s High Court, the 41-year-old royal joined his wife, Meghan Markle, in Utah on Saturday, January 24, for the Sundance Film Festival premiere of their new Girls Scouts documentary, Cookie Queens.

Though he smiled for the cameras on the red carpet, “Harry’s a wreck right now,” a source tells Star. “He’s acting and feeling like the weight of the world’s on his shoulders.”

Per People, the Duke of Sussex appeared on the verge of tears on Wednesday, January 21, while giving evidence in his years-long legal battle with the Daily Mail’s publisher, whom he’s accused of illegal information gathering.

“By standing up here and taking a stand against them, this has continued to come after me,” Harry said, his voice cracking with emotion, the outlet reported. “And they have made my wife’s life an absolute misery, my Lord.”

Associated Newspapers Limited “vigorously” denies the claims.

That’s not the only issue weighing heavily on Harry.

Add to that his ongoing feud with brother Prince William, says the source, and his “guilt and worry” over his cancer-stricken father, King Charles III.

There’s also “the fact he’s got very few friends and rumored money troubles,” notes the source. “It’s no wonder he’s a wreck.”

All that pressure has seemingly taken a toll.

“The guy’s barely sleeping. He’s consumed by worry,” says Star’s source, comparing Harry to a house of cards. “When it all falls down, it’ll be messy as all hell, to say the least.”
