Dirt Poor! Dean McDermott Demands Tori Spelling To File For Bankruptcy Amid Her Latest Lawsuit

Star readers know that the once-famous actress has now become notorious for her money troubles.

Things have gotten so bad recently, that American Express even filed a lawsuit against the star for failing to pay off her credit card debt. The total amount due? A whopping $38,000 (plus interest)!  

Even though Tori has tried everything to make ends meet — which includes making a meal out of free food samples, and trying to use her daughters as a meal ticket — husband-of-10-years Dean McDermott, 49, has had enough!

Sources told Radar Online that the family’s financial situation is even worse than it seems. "American Express provided a loan to Tori out of a line of credit she had," the source revealed.

"The loan was needed because Tori and Dean had no money coming in last summer. She was hospitalized with burns on her arms, and was in pain for months," the insider continued.  

But looks like the American Express lawsuit might just be one of many that are likely to follow. "Dean wants Tori to file for bankruptcy because there are other credit card companies that are owed money too," the insider stated. "It's surprising that this was only the first company to file a lawsuit in an attempt to get the outstanding balance paid."

Though Dean seems to have a realistic grasp on the gravity of their financial situation, Tori, 42, still remains in denial, and “refuses to even discuss the possibility of bankruptcy."
