Justin Bieber popped back into the picture and the-on-again-off-again couple were back on. While fans were expectedly in shocked, it appears that those closest to the singer were just as surprised by their rekindled romance.
Selena’s mom, Mandy Teefey, lost it when she learned that her daughter started dating her ex again, and she was allegedly so distraught by the news that she checked herself into the hospital for treatment, according to reports.
Last week, the 25-year-old allegedly told her mother that she and the Canadian singer were attending couples’ therapy to work out their issues and Mandy got “so worked up” and “flipped.”
Police were called to Mandy’s L.A. hotel and she was voluntarily taken to the hospital and she was released from the hospital the same day.

As readers know, Selena’s family does not approve of Justin ever since their relationship went south. A source close to the family even said that Mandy blames him for her daughter’s stint in rehab and debilitating depression.
