Jessica Simpson Slammed After Sharing Video Of Her Injured Son Being Flipped Into A Pool By Her Husband

On Monday, Jessica posted a video of husband Eric Johnson and their son Ace horsing around in the pool. Eric flipped Ace high in the air so he could do a backflip, which played out in slow motion. The four-year-old landed with a big splash.

However, some fans were upset when they saw the bright green cast on Ace’s arm. Last week, Ace broke his arm. Jessica shared an emotional Instagram post about the ordeal at the time. In the caption, the fashion designer revealed that she cried more than he did!

Fans sounded off in the video's comments. Many thought the flip was much too dangerous for a small child with a newly broken arm. One wrote, “That's Scary! What if he hits his head on bottom of pool?”

Another fan claimed that Ace will “quite possibly need to be casted much longer.” They added, “This just seems like common sense to anyone with a brain. This is incredibly stupid!”

But the Texas native’s die-hard fans were quick to defend the star. One wrote, “Are you the doctor taking care of her kid? Are you the doctor telling her what restrictions he needs to have? Do you know how bad the break is? Do you pay her bills?” Many expressed their jealousy that Ace could swim with a cast at all. One user wrote, “I wish waterproof casts were a thing when I was a kid!!”

Others went for the jugular. “This doesn’t seem very smart to me but then again I know the difference between chicken and tuna,” referring to the former reality star’s iconic mix up, a commenter wrote.

This isn’t the first time Jessica has been mommy shamed. Last year during Halloween, fans were angry she dyed her daughter Maxwell’s blonde hair for her Beauty and the Beast costume. Many said they thought it was inappropriate for the five-year-old. Others defended the mom, saying it was probably temporary. Maxwell’s hair is back to blonde.
