Christie Brinkley’s Dancing With The Stars journey has come to an end before it even got a chance to begin. The supermodel took a scary fall during DWTS rehearsals and ended up breaking her arm! Now, the 65-year-old is exiting the dance competition before it starts this week. Stepping in for her is her daughter, Sailor Brinkley-Cook, who has little time to ready the routines before the show starts on September 16.
Christie told Good Morning America, “Showbiz is all about getting a break, and Sailor and I both got one on Dancing with the Stars this season.”
“Sailor joined the cast when I got mine … ouch somebody stop me, it hurts to laugh!” she joked, staying in good spirits despite the setback. Christie will need surgery to repair the damage in her arm.
