‘Outlander: Blood of My Blood’ Follows the Parents of Beloved ‘Outlander’ Main Characters

This prequel to Outlander tells the love stories of the parents of the cult hit’s main characters. Claire’s, Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine), start off as pen pals during World War I, while Jamie’s, Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater) and Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy) meet cute in the middle of a clan conflict in 18th-century Scotland.

Inevitably Julia and Henry time-travel to the 1700s (which is how Claire and Jamie eventually meet). It’s a must-see for Outlander fans, but newbies will quickly get addicted to the engrossing love stories. (Blood of My Blood is a stand-alone, so you can still follow the story even if you never watched the original series.)
