Meryl Streep plans to support Martin Short after her Devil Wears Prada 2 press tour as he grieves his daughters death, with Broadway dreams ahead.
Meryl Streep has been busy promoting The Devil Wears Prada 2, but a source says she plans to focus on beau Martin Short the minute her press tour concludes.
Martin, 76, has been grieving the devastating February loss of daughter Katherine to suicide, and the source says he and Meryl, also 76, will spend the summer healing together.
“Meryl hasn’t had a big movie in cinemas in years, but when the movie’s released in May and it’s a hit, they can retreat to one of their homes and be together,” says the source. “Martin is an undemanding person, and Meryl is putting herself out there with his blessing and support.”
The Oscar winner is eager to be back by her Only Murders in the Building costar’s side — she’s even dreaming of new projects for them, including costarring on Broadway. “We were thinking that would be fun to do,” she recently revealed to Andy Cohen during an appearance on Sirius XM.
