Machine Gun Kelly’s secret to success is also his biggest character flaw, a source tells Star.
“He’s addicted to chaos … and being an instigator,” reveals the source. “That ‘anything goes’ attitude plays fine on the concert stage and in the recording studio, where he’s been rewarded for taking big, counter-intuitive risks, but in a romantic relationship, it’s poisonous.”
The “Rap Devil” singer, 35, was all set to wed former fiancée Megan Fox, 39, with whom he shares one-year-old daughter Saga Blade, when their relationship was rocked by rumors of infidelity in 2023.
“Change doesn’t happen overnight, but if MGK really wants a shot at long-term happiness, with Megan or anybody else, he has to show that change is underway and it’s real,” says Star’s source. “Knowing MGK, I just don’t think he’s there yet.”

Earlier this month, MGK couldn’t resist dropping flirty comments on the Subservience star’s Instagram posts despite all the progress they’ve made as coparents.
“Of course Megan’s head-turning return to Instagram freaked him out,” says the source. “She has millions of fans who were driven into an absolute frenzy by those sexy pictures. And the funny thing is, not too long ago MGK was himself one of those faceless fans of hers, before he willed himself into celebrity and music success.
In some ways, that hasn’t changed.
“There’s still a big part of him that’s still that 18-year-old kid dreaming of being a star [and] the only thing that’s going to get him to calm down and fully become an adult is age itself,” admits the source. “He’s still figuring out who he really is, even after all this time.”
