Kelly Ripa revealed she refuses to be anything less than comfortable when she flies, which means never wearing a bra on a plane.
The Live with Kelly and Mark host, 55, was discussing some of the current travel trends proliferating on social media, such as “raw dogging,” when someone flies without any entertainment or distractions, as well as “naked flying.”

“Naked flying is where you board the flight with zero luggage. You’ve done that,” she said to her husband, Mark Consuelos, 54, on the Monday, January 5 episode of their show, per People.
“People are doing this just to say they do it,” Ripa added. “They’ll carry their cell phone [and] their wallet in their pockets with no luggage at all. It’s a point of pride.”
But Ripa also admitted that when she first heard the term “naked flying,” she assumed it meant flying in nothing but one’s birthday suit. She also revealed that it’s not far off from her perfect flying experience.

“I don’t wear a bra on an airplane,” she said. “I just refuse. I feel like life is hard. What’s the point?”
“Let’s face it, I don’t need a bra. This bra is so I have a place to clip my mic,” she continued. “That’s the only reason. That’s why I’m wearing it.”
But now, armed with the actual definition of “naked flying,” Ripa vowed to try it out as part of her 2026 New Year’s resolutions. She explained her goal is to fly with nothing but her phone, wallet and lip balm — which she said she’d give to her husband to keep in his pocket so she could travel even more unencumbered!
