New mom Hailee Steinfeld is opening up about life at home — and the rules she sticks to with her NFL player husband Josh Allen.
In a new interview with Architectural Digest, the 29-year-old star admitted she prefers not to eat in front of the TV.
“I value a meal away from technology, and even if it’s just the two of us — [or] if it’s us with friends, with family — that time is so limited with the opportunity to have uninterrupted conversation over a great meal,” she said.
Another hard no? TV at bedtime.
Steinfeld also admitted she softens her stance when it comes to pets: While she tries to keep dogs off the furniture, she confessed it doesn’t always work.

“Emotionally, I say no, but realistically, they’re family,” she shares. “So the rule gets bent. With my dogs, they’re so little. The minute I sit down on the couch, they’re at my feet, and it’s almost impossible to resist their cuteness, and I end up picking them up.”
The peek into her home life comes just days after the Pitch Perfect 2 star and the Buffalo Bills player, 29, announced the birth of their first child, a baby girl, in an April 2 Substack post.
As Star recently reported, the couple, who currently reside in Buffalo, New York, are eyeing a sprawling Malibu pad as they plan to expand their brood.
“They have the cash to do something big, and Hailee has said for years that she would love a place in Malibu,” spills a source. “She and Josh are planning to have a large family, so it has to be sizable.”
