David Geffen’s Divorce Gets Ugly as Ex Makes Shocking Claims Against Billionaire
David Geffen is worth an estimated $8.8 billion — and his estranged husband, Donovan Michaels, wants his share.
In shocking new court documents obtained by Star, the 32-year-old, who met the billionaire via the website seekingarrangements.com in 2016, alleges that the 82-year-old groomed and exploited him as a young, damaged product of the foster-care system. Further, he claims that the two had an “oral agreement” that entitles him to half of their marital property since their 2023 nuptials.
In the legal papers, Donovan claims that David subjected him to aggressive sexual “play,” expected him to do drugs like molly and cocaine and dictated his wardrobe and hygiene, including “extensive, painful laser treatments and dental treatments.” When he got sober and began doing AA’s 12 Steps, he alleges, David booted him from their home. His attorneys are seeking a trial.
He’ll get a fight. David’s attorney Patty Glaser tells Star, “There was no contract — express, written, oral or implied — that has ever existed. We will be vigorously and righteously defending against this false, pathetic lawsuit.”
