Cher Tells Dax Shepard He’s ‘Lucky’ to Have Landed Kristen Bell: ‘She’s Definitely the Better Half’

Cher made sure Dax Shepard knew just how “lucky” he was to have landed wife Kristen Bell during a recent appearance on his podcast, Armchair Expert.

“She’s definitely the better half,” the “Strong Enough” singer, 79, declared on the Monday, January 5, episode.

“Who would you like to see Kristen with?” Shepard, 51, wondered. “Who would be your dream partner for her? ‘Cause I know you think she could do better, and I don’t disagree.”

“The truth is, I trust her,” Cher replied. “So you must have something that I don’t see.”

The Grammy winner became friends with Bell, 45, while filming 2010’s Burlesque alongside Christina Aguilera and Stanley Tucci.

“We got along so well, we were very sympatico, and I respected her a lot,” Cher recalled. “I didn’t know who she was, but she was good.”

While “nobody’s good enough” for the Frozen star, Shepard admitted, he couldn’t help but put in a word for himself.

“I”ll tell you the thing that you should like about me,” he said. “I’m not threatened by her shining. I love it. The shinier she gets, the better.”

Cher’s boyfriend Alexander “AE” Edwards is the same way too, she noted. “The more I shine, the more he has won.”

In the end, the Goddess of Pop appeared to come around to Shepard.

“You seem like a good dad,” she told the podcast host, who shares daughters Lincoln, 12, and Delta, 12, with his wife of 11 years.

Bell, who sat in on the podcast recording, agreed.

“He’s the best dad there ever was,” she gushed.
