The pop princess, 44, was transported to the hospital early Thursday morning to have her blood drawn after being pulled over for driving under the influence, TMZ reported.
According to the outlet, Spears was not injured after being pulled over in Westlake Village. She was taken to the hospital “to determine her blood alcohol content.”
After news of her arrest broke, a rep for the “Gimme More” artist told Star, “This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable. Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life.”
The statement continued, “Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time.”

The rep confirmed that Spears’ sons, Jayden and Preston — whom she shares with ex-husband KevinFederline — plan to spend time with their mother in Los Angeles.
“Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for well being,” the rep added.
