Bindi Irwin is saying goodbye to Down Under and hello to the City of Angels — at least for the next few months.
On Saturday, August 30, the wildlife conservationist, 27, posted a video on Instagram announcing she was temporarily relocating from Australia to America with her 4-year-old daughter, Grace. (Bindi did not say if her husband, Chandler Powell, 28, is going with them.)
“I wanted to pop on here and share a little bit of a life update with you. We have officially moved to Los Angeles, not forever, just for the next three months,” Bindi told followers.
“Australia Zoo will always be home,” she continued. “But we are here to support my incredible brother on Dancing with the Stars.”

The TV personality’s younger brother, Robert Iriwin, will compete on the upcoming season of the hit dance competition series. Bindi competed on the show back in 2015 and described it as “a life-changing experience that I will always be grateful for” in her video.
“10 years ago I won @dancingwiththestars here in America with the most wonderful @derekhough,” Bindi reflected in her caption. “Now, I get to cheer on my (not so little) brother @robertirwinphotography!”
“If you’re wondering who will be cheering the loudest in the audience — it will definitely be me and Grace,” she added in her caption. “She has already chosen all her dresses to wear in the ballroom audience each week. ❤️🥹 #DWTS.”
Catch Robert, 21, on the season 34 premiere of Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday, September 16, at 8 p.m. ET and PT on ABC and Disney+.
