Blake Shelton may want to turn his chair around to face his personal life. The Voice coach’s wife, Miranda Lambert, raised eyebrows last month when she was spotting flirting up a storm with country crooner Chris Young during a night out at Losers Bar in Nashville.
“Miranda and Chris were really into each other,” dishes an eyewitness. “They were acting like a couple.”
The blonde beauty, who married Blake in 2011 after five years of dating, has been friends with Chris for years — he opened for her during her On Fire tour in 2012, and closes sources reveal that their deep friendship may have planted the seed for a newfound romance. “A tour can take a lot out of you,” the insider explains. “They confided in each other. They stayed up nights just talking and she told him about the numerous issues in her marriage.”
While the pair’s constant text messages and frequent hangouts are known to Miranda’s close group of girlfriends, Blake is still in the dark. “Miranda and Chris’ bond has bothered him on occasion,” the pal admits. “But he doesn’t think anything serious is going on. He’s so busy with his own music and filming The Voice that he has no idea how much they really talk.”
For now, the “Little Red Wagon” singer plans to continue to have her cake and eat it too. “Miranda loves having this picture-perfect country marriage,” the source says. “Bu the truth is, she’s often lonely.”
