Nothing sweet happened on Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta! In fact, there was a lot of shady behavior going on.
It starts with Cynthia Bailey, who gets crowned the shadiest of them all, for meeting up with Phaedra Parks under the guise of apologizing for spreading rumors last episode…but instead uses the meeting to tell her nemesis what she needs to change about herself. Ouch!
The fun really starts, though, when Kandi Burruss and her husband Todd Tucker visit a marriage counselor and the singer admits to needing help adjusting to their six month marriage, during which Todd has been gone most of the time for work. During the session, Todd admits his displeasure with the way Kandi handled the prenuptial agreement and uses the session to blame Kandi for everything that’s gone wrong in their relationship. All in all, he’s upset things aren’t going the way he wants, blames the ordeal on his wife and the couple leaves the therapy session looking as miserable as ever.
Later on, Claudia Jordan, Kenya Moore, Cynthia and Kandi meet up at an event for Cynthia’s gossip-loving husband, Peter Thomas, and, of course, the conversation is all about Phaedra. Kandi is tired of the drama, but manages to tell Atlanta’s resident gossip girls that what goes on between Phaedra and her estranged husband, Apollo Nida, is none of their business. Good for you, girl!
Meanwhile, unsettled by the division of the group, NeNe Leakes treats the ladies for sangria and Mexican food to discuss the possibility of a therapist speaking to them all so they can air out their issues. Of course, Cynthia uses the meeting to roll her eyes and give NeNe attitude. And, while Kandi doesn’t think she has a reason to be there since she has no issues with anyone, she reluctantly agrees to participate. Let’s hope the ladies get an appointment ASAP — there’s never a dull moment in Atlanta!
