Sarah Hyland may finally have some peace of mind. A judge approved the actress’ request for a permanent restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, Matt Prokop, who was released from rehab on Sept. 30.
The Modern Family star’s boyfriend of five years has been ordered to: stay more than 100 yards away from her and her house, not go near her job or workplace, not own or possess a gun or ammunition, stay 100 yards away from her dog and not attack, threaten or harm the dog in any way.
The order will be enforced for three years, and should Matt not follow the guidelines, he’ll be sent to jail.
After breaking up with Matt over the summer, Sarah was granted a temporary restraining order due to his physical and verbal abuse throughout their relationship. However, following his release from rehab, she became “terrified” of his obsessive behavior and took the necessary steps to make the order permanent.
