Another performer has been announced for the Academy Awards next Sunday! Show producers announced Thursday that Pink will take the stage during the show, although no other details have been released.
“We are very excited to welcome Pink to the Oscar stage for the very first time,” producers said in a statement. “She is regarded as one of the greatest voices in pop music and one of the best performers of her generation, and we are thrilled to have her join us for a highly anticipated moment of the broadcast.”
The “Try” singer tweeted about the news herself once it was announced. “Big news!!!” she wrote. “I’d like to thank @TheAcademy for inviting me to perform on the #Oscars on March 2nd!! #holycow.”
The 34-year-old joins already announced performers U2, Idina Menzel, Bette Midler, Karen O and Pharrell Williams.
