She’s baaaaack! Ellen DeGeneres announced on Twitter Friday that she’ll be taking over hosting duties for the 86th Annual Academy Awards. This will be the funny-woman’s second time emceeing the big event.
Even in just making her announcement, Ellen is already bringing the laughs. “It’s official: I’m hosting the #Oscars!” she wrote. “I’d like to thank @TheAcademy, my wife Portia and, oh dear, there goes the orchestra.”
In a statement, the talk show host added, “I am so excited to be hosting the Oscars for the second time. You know what they say — the third time’s the charm.”
Ellen last hosted the show in 2007. This year’s broadcast will be on March 2, 2014. Does she have it in her to do it again?!
