It might’ve been “hell” judging American Idol in Season 12, but Harry Connick Jr. is letting everybody know that’s not the case anymore!
On Thursday, Mariah Carey revealed that she “hated” working on the Fox show, and said it was “like going to work every day in hell with Satan.” The “Art of Letting Go” singer admittedly didn’t get along with fellow judge Nicki Minaj, and their feud went on all season long.
This year, both divas have left the show, and Keith Urban will be joined by Harry and former judge Jennifer Lopez. “hey @MariahCarey – must’ve been hard to judge in hell… @AmericanIdol XIII is heaven! @JLo @KeithUrban @RyanSeacrest @YO_RANDYJACKSON,” Harry tweeted.
Indeed, it does seem like things are a lot less tense this year, and in a recently released interview, the threesome admit that they’re getting along great.
Moments after his first tweet, the new judge added, “btw, i LOVE @MariahCarey !!! no hate for that sweet lady – i just feel bad that she didn’t have what we have – the best @AmericanIdol ever!”
