Things have been going great for Lea Michele’s Glee character, Rachel Berry. At the end of last week’s episode, she found out she was cast as the lead role in a Broadway play, but in the show’s next episode, her world will be rocked by tragic news.
Rachel and the rest of the cast will learn of Finn’s (Cory Monteith) death in Episode 3, and the emotional songs have been released on the web a few days prior. Although Lea reportedly only appears in the episode for a short time, she sings a powerful, yet sad, rendition of Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love.”
The show’s creator, Ryan Murphy, opened up about filming the episode, which took place just weeks after Cory’s shocking death in July. “Almost everything in that episode is from the first take of every performance, because the actors and crew had a really hard time shooting it,” he explained. “I’ve never seen a crew where you can’t continue shooting because they left the room sobbing.”
