VIDEO: Lea Michele Sings & Cries in Preview For Glee's Cory Monteith Tribute

Thursday night’s episode of Glee ended on a happy note for all of the show’s characters, especially Rachel Berry (Lea Michele), who found out she was cast as the leading lady in Broadway’s Funny Girl. Next week, though, the entire cast’s worlds will be rocked with the news of Finn Hudson’s (Cory Monteith) death.

In the thirty second preview for the episode, we see the McKinley High students gathering around Cory’s locker for a memorial. Quickly, we get a shot of Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) shedding tears, while Lea sobs in an embrace to glee club advisor William Schuster (Matthew Morrison). The actress, who was Cory’s real-life girlfriend at the time of his passing, sings Bob Dylan’s “Make You Feel My Love” in the background

In July, Cory was found dead in his hotel room after accidentally overdosing on heroin and alcohol. With Lea’s permission, the cast and crew filmed two Beatles-themed episodes of Glee before working on the Finn tribute, appropriately titled “The Quarterback.” The episode will air next Thursday, Oct. 10.
