Supreme Court Overturns DOMA: Celebs React on Twitter

Marriage equality

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court ruled that the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) is unconstitutional, giving legally married same-sex couples the same federal rights as heterosexual couples. The courts also struck down Proposition 8, which outlawed same-sex marriage in California.

Naturally, after the announcement was made, social media began blowing up with reactions to the overturning of the laws — and celebs are right in on the action, showing their support for same sex marriage. Check out what some stars are saying on Twitter:
