For the past year or so, Miley Cyrus has been making headlines, not just for her music comeback, but for her fashion choices. The pop singer openly “likes to be naked” and is known to show skin no matter what the situation — but she admits that all of those decisions are calculated.
“I just don’t get what half the girls are wearing,” she explained to Ronan Farrow in the new issue of W Magazine. “Everyone to me seems like Vanna White. I’m trying to tell girls, like, ‘F— that! You don’t have to wear makeup. You don’t have to have long blonde hair and big t—ies. That’s not what it’s about. It’s, like, personal style.’ I like that I’m associated with sexuality and the kind of punk-rock s— where we just don’t care.”
Unfortunately for the 21-year-old, there’s been major criticism over her image…but she doesn’t care. “Anyone that hates on you is always below you, because they’re just jealous of what you have,” she scoffed.
Now that she’s single, since splitting from Liam Hemsworth in September, Miley admitted that it’s not so easy to find the right guy. “The [guys] that do exist just try too hard with me, and it’s just like, ‘I don’t need you to impress me. I don’t want you to, like, take me to fancy restaurants.’ I hate sitting down for dinner!”
“That’s why I’m not trying to jump into a relationship,” she explained. “I love my music so much and I love what I’m doing so much that that has become my other half — rather than another person.”
Luckily, she’ll be able to keep busy so she doesn’t have to worry about starting a new relationship. Her Bangerz tour kicks off on Feb. 14.
