It’s all out in the open now! Lady Gaga stopped by Watch What Happens Live for an interview with Andy Cohen on Wednesday, and she held nothing back.
Like other VMAs attendees, the “Applause” singer was asked her opinion about Miley Cyrus‘ controversial and provocative performance. However, being a pop singer who’s faced scrutiny of her own, Gaga had nothing but nice things to say about the 20-year-old. “I just think everyone needs to lighten up and leave her alone,” she admitted. “Because it’s pop music. Everybody’s entitled to their own artistic expression, and if you have a problem with it, just change the channel.”
“You know, if anything, I give her props,” she continued. “You know, she’s growing up in front of the entire world and maybe she’s not so happy with stuff she did in her career when she was younger and she wants to be free, so let her do what she wants.”
Gaga also spoke about another fellow popstar, Christina Aguilera, to clear up rumors that they are not in the feud everybody thinks they are. “Christina is an incredible vocalist and incredible artist,” she said. “From me to her, I’m so sorry for anything that anyone ever said to her because of my existence.” She added that she considers The Voice judge to be an “inspiration.”
In the interview, Lady Gaga also admitted to doing Ecstasy in the past and taking a few dips in the “lady pond.” “I find lesbians to way more daring than straight men when it comes to coming onto you,” she revealed. “It wasn’t until I found a guy that could come onto me as strong as a lesbian that I really fell in love.”
