As Starpreviously reported, the “Gimme More” singer, 44, has been slowly reconnecting with sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19 — and was hoping to get the chance to spend Christmas morning with them.
Well, according to a new report published by TMZ on Thursday, December 26, Spears celebrated the holidays with Jayden, which, sources close to the family tell the outlet, was “great” for the pair.
Her eldest son, however, remained behind in Louisiana with grandmother Lynn Spears and aunt Jamie Lynn Spears and her family, reportedly due to work obligations.

“The chance to be back in touch is precious,” a source told Starearlier this month of Spears’ reconciliation with her boys. “She’s very grateful that they’re speaking to her.”
There was a time when they weren’t.
In his memoir, You Thought You Knew, Spears’ ex-husband Kevin Federline detailed Sean and Jayden’s rocky relationship with the Princess of Pop, alleging that as teenagers, they did not want to spend time at her house.
“They would awaken sometimes at night to find her standing silently in the doorway, watching them sleep — ‘Oh, you’re awake?’ — with a knife in her hand,” the former back-up dancer, 47, wrote, per the New York Times. “Then she’d turn around and pad off without any explanation.”

Ahead of its October 21 release, a representative for Spears shared a statement with People, regarding Federline’s memoir.
“With news from Kevin’s book breaking, once again he and others are profiting off her and sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin,” the statement read. “All she cares about are her kids, Sean Preston and Jayden James, and their well-being during this sensationalism. She detailed her journey in her memoir [The Woman in Me.]”
