Throughout 11 seasons of Vanderpump Rules, Scheana Shay shared her life with viewers, giving a look into everything from her widely publicized affair with actor Eddie Cibrian to her troubled marriage with ex-husband Michael Shay. However, in her new book My Good Side — out July 22 — she dives even deeper into everything the cameras didn’t show.

Scroll down for some of the biggest revelations.

Scheana and Cibrian were intertwining their lives during their romance.

In My Good Side, Scheana opens up about her affair with the CSI: Miami alum — who she described as “the sweetest, funniest, most charismatic gentleman” — after they met while she was working at a cigar bar in L.A. Scheana maintains she was unaware that he was married to Brandi Glanville at the time, until her mother alerted her that Cibrian — who had previously helped Scheana move into her apartment — was expecting his second child with Glanville. When she confronted him, Scheana writes that Cibrian told her that their marriage wasn’t working out. Cibrian later claimed that they were separated, leading her and the former Sunset Beach actor to give their romance another chance.

She was a fan of Cibrian’s now-wife, LeAnn Rimes, when she was younger.

During a snowboarding trip, Scheana recalls Rimes calling Cibrian, noting she thought it was “so cool” that they knew each other because Scheana was “such” a fan of the country singer when she was “growing up.” Cibrian explained the two had recently filmed Northern Lights in Canada — but Scheana was stunned when his best friend later informed her that an outlet was planning to expose his affair with Rimes. Though Scheana vowed never to speak to Cibrian again, she cooperated when she was asked to sign a legal document claiming she and Cibrian “never had relations” after his relationship with Rimes was exposed. (Cibrian and Rimes married in 2011.)

Scheana mingled with some major Hollywood heavy hitters.

In the book, Scheana recalls dating John Mayer — who she initially met while working at his birthday party in 2008, when he was dating Jennifer Aniston — and describes him as being “really into phone sex.” She also enjoyed the company of Jesse Metcalfe, Shane West, Jesse McCartney, Adrian Grenier and NSYNC’s JC Chasez, just to name a few. While working at the L.A. cigar bar and Villa Blanca, she also “rubbed elbows” with La Toya Jackson, Sharon Stone and Steven Seagal, who once called her!

She claims The Hills ‘wasn’t real.’

In 2009, Scheana appeared on The Hills alongside her friends Stacie and Brooke during a night out at H.Wood. Explaining that they “were told to act surprised” when they saw certain members of the cast, the women had an awkward encounter with Heidi Montag and Stephanie Pratt over Stacie’s friendship with Spencer Pratt. Despite the tension that played out onscreen, Scheana claims “all of the cattiness and bad blood disappeared” when cameras went down — so much so that Montag apologized for being mean to them and clarified that it was “all just for the show.”

Scheana believes Lisa Vanderpump’s ignorance about her affair with Cibrian was a lie.

In the memoir, Scheana reveals that those who worked at Vanderpump’s restaurant Villa Blanca were aware of her affair, noting the staff passed around photos of them together that were once featured in a magazine. During one scene in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills — in which Scheana passed Glanville during an event — Scheana recalls Vanderpump acting “shocked” when she learned of the situation, however, she believes the entrepreneur “just wanted to keep her hands clean” and catch the women “off guard.” Scheana also alleges that she would get phone calls from Vanderpump early in the morning, giving her suggestions on things she wanted “to have conveyed in the narrative” while filming. Later in the book, Scheana also claims that she was told by a producer that when the show was in the early stages, “Lisa was worried that the Disney girl who had a connection to Eddie wasn’t going to participate.”  (Scheana had a small role on the Disney Channel series Jonas in 2009.)

Her marriage to Michael Shay was far from perfect.

Scheana recalls that her wedding night was the first time she believed Michael — who she married in 2014 and divorced in 2017 — may have had a “substance issue.” She also claims in My Good Side that he had an “emotional affair” with another woman. Asking him for a divorce on camera was a surprise to both Michael and her Vanderpump Rules producer — however, she writes that their divorce was the most “amicable” one their attorney had seen.

Before meeting Brock Davies, Shay was attracted to a woman.

Scheana recalls meeting a “drop dead gorgeous” woman named DD at Stagecoach, noting the two became inseparable. Eventually, their friendship grew into something more, with the women getting drunk and kissing, and Scheana growing “definitely attracted” to her. However, Scheana admits to struggling with unpacking her feelings about their relationship.

Scheana felt abandoned while coping with a pregnancy loss.

In My Good Side, Scheana details experiencing a devastating miscarriage during the COVID pandemic. While staying at her mother’s house, she had hoped to return back home to Palm Springs to be with her husband, Brock Davies. However, when she checked his location, she noticed he was on a golf course while in San Diego working on his gyms. Scheana also writes that she was hoping to lean on Vanderpump Rules costar Lala Kent at the time, but instead of showing her the support she needed, Lala texted her to come out to dinner with Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox.

Scheana confronted Rachel Leviss about getting too close to Tom Sandoval before “Scandoval” erupted.

Scheana reveals rumors were circulating that Sandoval and Leviss were hooking up behind Ariana Madix’s back during season 10. In her book, Scheana writes that Madix had confronted the pair at one point, telling them she was “sick” of hearing the rumors and told them to get their “sh*t together.” During an outing with Leviss, Scheana recalled asking her questions in order to find out if there was any truth to the speculation. Though Leviss denied anything was going on, Scheana wrote that her face “looked like the happy tear emoji” when asked if she wanted something to happen with Sandoval. Scheana began to suspect there was more to the story when Leviss stopped sharing her location.

Scheana’s decision to forgive Davies for cheating played a part in her forgiving Sandoval.

As Star previously reported, Scheana opened up about learning Davies had cheated on her while she was pregnant. In My Good Side, she reveals that her decision to give her husband a second chance inspired her to forgive Sandoval too, referring to a moment in season 11 of Vanderpump Rules in which she informed Madix that she couldn’t continue hating Sandoval because of the cheating scandal. “Because then I would have had to continue despising my husband as well,” she wrote.
