The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Taylor Frankie Paul was reportedly forced into a mental health treatment program in early 2025 after an incident with ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen.
“Dakota pretty much said, ‘We’ve got to do something about this or we’re not going to film,’” a source told The U.S. Sunon Saturday, March 28.
The outlet reported that Hulu executives stepped in after an alleged altercation between the on-again, off-again couple, forcing Paul, 31, to attend a mental health “retreat”.
“The insider also alleged that when she came back, Taylor acted as if nothing had happened,” the outlet claimed.
Season 3 explained that the mother of three — who shares children Indy, 8, and Ocean, 6, with ex-husband Tate, and son Ever, 2, with Mortensen — was away at a “retreat” during the November 2025 premiere.

Paul has been in hot water since video was released of her physically attacking Mortensen, 33, during a 2023 fight. The video, which was recorded by Mortensen and handed over to police, showed the reality star hurling metal barstools at her ex. One of the stools struck her daughter who was sitting nearby.
The reality star was arrested and charged and later pleaded guilty to aggravated assault. Her season of The Bachelorette was subsequently cancelled just days before its scheduled premiere.
