Stanley Tucci is opening up about love, loss and why his relationship with wife Felicity Blunt felt right from the start.
During the Thursday, May 7, episode of the Open Book With Jenna podcast, the Devil Wears Prada 2 star, 65, said he never expected to remarry after the 2009 death of his first wife, Kate. But everything changed when he was introduced to 45-year-old Felicity through her sister — and his Devil Wears Prada costar — Emily Blunt in 2006.
“When I met [Felicity], it just sort of made sense,” Tucci said, noting that their connection came naturally despite their 21-year age gap. “And we just hit it off. We had a lot in common, even though we had nothing in common.”
The couple — who tied the knot in 2012 — now share two children together, Matteo, 11, and daughter Emilia, 8.

Tucci praised his wife for bringing stability into his world following a deeply painful period. “She changed my life,” he said, calling her “incredibly positive” and “pretty cool.”
Still, the actor has been candid about one lingering fear — not being able to grow old alongside Felicity.
“I am sad that I won’t see her get old and that I won’t be able to look after her if she needs looking after,” he told The Times of London in a September 2025 interview while acknowledging that he wasn’t bothered by being older than his spouse.
“I think there’s something really beautiful about people aging together,” the Lovely Bones actor added. “And unless there’s some miracle, that can’t happen.”
Felicity likely won’t age alone, as Tucci is a proud dad of five: He previously welcomed twins Isabel and Nicolo, 26, and daughter Camilla, 24, with Kate.
