Savannah Chrisley recently revealed how her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, spent their first few days of freedom after being released from prison.

On Tuesday, June 3, the reality TV personality, 27, dropped a new episode of her Unlocked podcast, which she recorded on May 30 — two days after Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, came home. Savannah detailed the family reunion for her podcast listeners.

“I… know that it’s going to take a little while for our family to get acclimated and readjusted back into the real world, but yesterday was really fun,” she remarked. “I cooked dinner for my entire family. I made steaks, pastas, salads, potatoes — we had a smorgasbord. My parents enjoyed it and loved it.”

Savannah and Todd also did some shopping, visiting a department store to purchase new threads for him.

“So we went to Nordstrom. We thought we were in the clear, but nope, the press followed us into Nordstrom and chased us around,” Savannah recalled. “It was comical. That’s why I put that photo of me and Dad out there, because I was like,’ I’m not going to let them get the first picture’. No, not happening.”

President Donald Trump granted Todd and Julie full pardons on May 27. The husband-and-wife duo were convicted of tax evasion and bank fraud in 2022. Todd was serving a 12-year sentence at Federal Prison Camp Pensacola in Florida, while Julie was serving seven years at Kentucky’s Federal Medical Center Lexington.

Despite his time behind bars, Savannah made it clear her father’s personality did not dim.

“Dad has not lost his sense of humor. He is still as spunky as ever,” she stated.

As for Julie, Savannah explained that she has been at home getting settled, and spending quality time with her granddaughter, Chloe, whom she adopted with Todd in 2016. (Chloe is the biological daughter of Todd’s oldest son, Kyle Chrisley.) Of course, Savannah has been updating her mom up on everything she missed.

“We actually sat the first morning she was home, we laid on my bed, and just went through my Instagram and just caught her up on all the posts and videos and just everything that’s gone on since she’s left,” Savannah shared. “It was really cool to see her reactions and to catch her up on life.”

Prior to her parents release, Savannah and her siblings had wrapped production on their upcoming Lifetime reality show, which was set to focus on their efforts to free Julie and Todd from prison. Now that they’re back home, Savannah confirmed they’ve started filming again.

“I’m so excited… they’re going to be part of it, and we get our new start at life,” Savannah gushed.
