Tia Mowry is expecting her second child, a girl with husband
Corey Hardrict six years after welcoming son Cree and after years of trying to conceive despite her Endometriosis diagnosis.
And despite being fat shammed on social media, the star looked confident in her maternity wear, sporting a black and white stripped sweater with distressed jeans and sneakers. The big-brother-to-be sported a T-shirt and green shorts.
Tia, announced her pregnancy in November, and has since been very open about both her fertility struggles and her journey to motherhood the second time around, sharing pictures of burgeoning baby bump on a regular basis.
However, her candidness around her pregnancy journey has lead to sharp criticism about her weight, with some comparing her body to “Humpty Dumpty” and “a bag of mayonnaise.” One Twitter user even questioned, “She ate the other twin?”
Recently, the star took to Instagram to share some of her pregnancy struggles, captioning the picture of herself in workout gear: “Y’all, this 3rd trimester is kicking my behind Phew! Gotta keep on and keep moving. My belly is so high! Hello indigestion. What were some of your 3rd trimester challenges?”
This isn’t the first time the star has
faced criticism about her body. In 2016 one Instagram user said that she was “getting fat,” and Tia responded with a classy clap back.
“I don’t normally do this, but I wanted to prove a point. I just posted a few days ago about embracing and uplifting others about body image,” she wrote.
“Here, @miekk_ felt the need to say I was getting fat. I took a look at your profile and I was sad to see that you WORK for YOUNG African-American girls aiding in their studies. I hope this isn’t what you would tell your girls? … Internet BULLYING is not cool and it needs to stop.”
Haters aside, the mommy-to-be has continued to share with fans her maternity pictures. Recently she posted this beautiful maternity shot and her supporters rallied around her with praise.
