Real Housewives Of Potomac star Andrew Martin threw himself on the mercy of the court following his 2011 drug arrest, and now, his sad pleas for leniency have been exposed.
reported, Katie Rost's ex-fiancé found himself in hot water after a bust yielded a large amount of drugs
, cash, and paraphernalia.
Accordingly, he was sentenced to three years probation in 2012.
However, after only a year and half, he asked to be let off the hook!
In a letter to the court, which has been obtained by RadarOnline
, Andrew begged for leniency, arguing that the terms of his probation would prevent him from flourishing in his new career as non-drug-dealing financial advisor.
“My employment requires me to attain state license registrations on an individual state basis,” he wrote. “I have received the approval over the last 18 months on a few states but my probation is disallowing me from gaining registration in states such as Florida, New Jersey, Michigan and a host of others.”
“The state licensing issue has negatively impacted my ability to reestablish my career,” he continued. “Previous to the probation, I was licensed in all these states and consequently my clients have not been able to conduct business with me as that would be a violation of Securities Law.”
Andrew also complained that his probation was wrecking his ability to do charity work. “The foundations require me to be off probation before I may receive the appointments and thusly inhibiting my impact on these foundations,” he insisted.
“I have gained great experience and knowledge during this process,” he wrote. “I have come to understand the need for accountability and the desire to not only provide value in my work life but to also provide value in my community through charitable and philanthropic ventures.”
Despite his hasty request, Andrew was not released from his probation until April 6, 2015.
