It's Over! Cynthia Bailey Says She's 'Taking Time' For Herself Amid Marriage Problems With Peter Thomas

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star has decided to stop working on her marriage, and is headed towards a divorce.

“I am spending time with my daughter, and taking some time for myself,” she confirmed to Us Weekly.

“Whatever the future holds for my marriage, I have given over to God," she added. "I appreciate everyone’s kind words and prayers.”

Cynthia even told Amy Phillips on March 22 that the couple hasn't been in a good place for a long time.

“At the time of the finale and what was filmed, we were in a better place," she said on the SiriusXM show Reality Checked with Amy Phillips. "I will say now that Peter and I are not in a great place.”

“We are not in a great place," she added. "Honestly, I don’t know what’s going to happen with us right now, we’re still trying to figure it out. We’re the only couple on the Real Housewives of Atlanta that was married on the Real Housewives of Atlanta."

"We’ve never been married outside of the show and I don’t think that has helped us a lot,” she concluded.

The 48-year-old's rocky marriage to the 56-year-old bar owner has been chronicled on RHOA for the past three years — with their problems coming to a screeching halt this season.

“It’s been a lot of problems over the years and it’s just gotten worse,” a source revealed to the publication. “You’ve seen it all play out on the show. She’s just over it. It’s not just the alleged cheating, it’s everything. There have been problems all along. He’s really trying to talk it out but it seems to be it for Cynthia. It’s not going to last.”

The insider also said that the duo is living separately, with Cynthia in Atlanta and Peter in Charlotte, N.C..
