Patrick Mahomes Corrects Reporter Questioning Travis Kelce About Fiancee Taylor Swift

Patrick Mahomes is making sure the world knows Taylor Swift is no longer his teammate Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, but rather his fiancée.

On Thursday, September 4, the two Kansas City Chiefs players attended a press conference in Brazil to discuss the upcoming NFL season.

A reporter asked Kelce, 35, if “there’s a difficulty to focus on everything on the field,” since he started “dating Taylor Swift.”

Before Kelce could answer, Mahomes, 29, chimed in, “Engaged.”

“Yeah, I got one more ring from it,” Kelce joked. “Ever since I’ve been dating Taylor, life has been fun. It’s been exciting. Obviously, there’s a lot more eyes [on me] and I accept that, but I’m living life and living on a high, I guess.”

As Star previously reported, Kelce and the pop star, 35, announced their engagement via a joint Instagram post on August 26.

The three-time Super Bowl champion popped the question in the backyard of his Ohio home on the same day he and the “Cruel Summer” singer recorded an episode of his New Heights podcast, according to Page Six.

On August 28, Kelce and the 14-time Grammy Award winner attended a college football game in Kansas City, and the NFL star reflected on that day in the Wednesday, September 3, episode of his podcast.

“It was my first time introducing Taylor as my fiancée to a few of my teammates. So yeah, it was pretty cool,” he gushed. “I still get giddy, exciting times.”
