Pamela Anderson has finally broken her silence on her romance with Liam Neeson, which many believed was an elaborate publicity stunt to promote The Naked Gun.
Anderson, 58, starred as the love interest to Neeson’s detective character in the hit summer comedy. Shortly after, it seemed there may have been more to their onscreen chemistry when the two looked cozy during the film’s premiere and the pair playing up the rumors in various interviews. (As Star previously reported, Neeson joked that an intimacy coordinator left them to film a steamy scene because it was “too hot.”)

However, in August, TMZ reported that the two were engaging in a classic showmance.
Speaking to People on Tuesday, December 9, Anderson addressed the rumors that their relationship was all a ruse.
“If you must know, Liam and I were romantically involved for a short while but only after we finished filming,” she explained, revealing they spent a week together at Neeson’s home in Upstate New York.
Still, while the setting was intimate, they were not alone — Anderson explained that both of their assistants were staying there as well, and that even family dropped by.

Anderson doubled down on the idea that she and Neeson, 73, would resort to parading around a fake relationship.
“I always was laughing when people thought, ‘Oh, that’s a publicity stunt.’ I’m like, ‘A publicity stunt? This is real. We have real feelings,’” she explained, noting that Neeson once took her to a French restaurant and introduced her as “the future Mrs. Neeson.”
However, fans of The Naked Gun who ship the couple in real life shouldn’t get their hopes up just yet: Despite them reconnecting on the press tour for the movie, Anderson seems to have hinted that their whirlwind romance is finished.
“I adore Liam,” she adds, “but we are better friends, in full honesty.”
