Unlike The Eras Tour, fans may not have had any reason to shake off the prices for Taylor Swift’s latest show.
On Tuesday, June 24, the pop star, 35, surprised the crowd when she took the stage during boyfriend Travis Kelce’s annual Tight Ends and Friends concert at the Brooklyn Bowl in Nashville.
The 14-time Grammy Award winner sang her hit track “Shake It Off” and played the guitar alongside country singer Kane Brown. The concert was part of Kelce’s “Tight End University,” a three-day training camp that he founded in 2021, along with San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle and sports commentator Greg Olsen.
Fans took to X, formerly Twitter, to reveal how little they paid for the ticketed 21+ event.

“When you pay $39 for a ticket on a Tuesday and Taylor Swift makes a special appeareance [sic],” one fan wrote on a video of Swift talking to the audience.
“I’m sorry but what you mean on Saturday Jordan Davis posted about this little event…i say why not buy a ticket…spend 66$ & see TAYLOR ALLISON SWIFT perform shake it off from the FRONT ROW??!?” a second fan penned. “For the first time ever after she owned her masters. In a small venue in Nash?????”
“there are people out there right now who saw taylor swift in nashville and they heard shake it off for $40,” a third fan posted on the app.
The low ticket prices to see the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker rock the stage draw a stark comparison to her groundbreaking Eras Tour, which ran from March 2023 to December 2024 and became the highest-grossing tour in history. Tickets for the U.S. concert dates were selling for thousands of dollars on resale platforms.

Of course, Swift’s performance was impromptu, as the lineup initially only included four singers: Jordan Davis, Chase Rice, Sophia Scott, and Graham Barham, according to the Brooklyn Bowl’s website.
Brown, 31, also appeared as a surprise musical guest, and at the end of his set, he told the crowd he had a “really, really, really special guest” to bring out, which happened to be Swift.
“We would like to dedicate this to our favorite players who are going to play, and these are the tight ends,” Swift, who wore a little black dress with knee-high boots, said before going into the song.
Swift’s performance also marks the first time she has taken the stage since buying her master recordings from private equity group Shamrock Capital last month.
